I don't think it was played as an ident. As far as I know, it's part of the opening titles of RND05.

Everyone had no 'box' & clean ident & that was the actual ident & not the opening titles.

Yeah, but isn't it built into the opening titles rather than played out from BBC One.

Ah thanks Antz... that would make sense. You hardly see any junctions without continuity over them now, so it just seemed very odd.

Talking of junctions... BBC ONE Scotland aired a Transmitter Information slide a few evenings ago. It was just a red slide with some continuity and then straight in to the next programme. Not often you see a junction without trails either!

It was EXACTLY the same ident as 2003 apart from no red BBC1 box. It was actually wasn't played as long as it was in 2003.

What a letdown Rolling Eyes

It was actually the second one from 2003 - shown at 10:35pm after the news on Friday 14th March, and unlike this year it had a red box. The first one, at 7:00pm that day, showed Brian Potter refusing to do the dance moves.

Yeah thats probably right as it just be a waste of time for them to come from continuity so it makes sense to 'integrate' them.

I think that's enough mileage out of talking about the ident, what are people's views on the actual show so far, and the new format of it, having the same presenters throughout rather than hourly shows?

It had a lil' red nose in the corner though.
