We're 2 weeks away from December 1st, I don't think it's that early. I'm only asking if anyone's heard anything about them, that's all. I'm not asking for everyone to put up their Christmas trees, am I?
Do tell me from what date you think it's ok to discuss it. Until then, I won't say any more on the subject, ok?
Too soon.

I thin Interceptor may have meant "too soon to have heard anything about Christmas idents", not "too soon to discuss Christmas, bah humbug."

Ah, ok! Sorry Interceptor if that is in fact what you meant. No hard feelings, I hope.

It's a TV Forum tradition to say that a Christmas thread is too soon.

If anything had been heard, I would have though this thread would be up and running before now
So seeing as it could be only 3-4 weeks before the BBC start airing their festive ident packages, I was wondering if any of your guys had heard anything about what we can expect from BBC1 this year?

Is there any need for sarcasm? I'm at a loss to explain why some individuals on this site feel they have the right to be so rude. I was only asking if there has been any rumours or reports about the idents.
I really don't know whether I can be bothered posting on this site any more....

Not heard anything but wondering if it's going to start as early as December 5th this year. If so it's not far away at all. Promos have appeared by the end of November in recent times.

I have absolutely zero information...
but last year's package certainly gave off an air of "built to last" to me; the 3 centre-piece shows (Doctor Who, SCD, Bake Off) nailed-on guaranteed to still be around this year, the actual effort put into the surrounding presentation...
I would not at all be surprised to see it given another go round. Genuine question - would people prefer a repeat or something new but lower rent (see 2012, 2013)?
My personal preference would be to alternate new Christmas looks for BBC One and Two each year. And on the subject of Two, I know I would certainly prefer 2011's spectacular to appear again (x5) than something new but not as well realised due to being under-resourced.
Pointless prediction: 2014 again for One, something new for Two.
