I'm very intrigued as to what the news ident will be as I doubt they will feature the animated characters.
The worst scenario is that the usual oneness idents are kept in use for news junctions. I'm very much hoping and praying that is not the case.

I have seen them, one is just nice though I can't work out the connection to the characters. The other is a room scene without them.

Sorry, you're right. I feel my original post may have been tainted by my own parental issues. I mean, my Dad never did turn up to my own dance performance. But that's perhaps something to do with the fact that I can't dance.

Doesn't do a lot for me. I'm getting bored of these tortured sequences where it all builds up to an optimistic crescendo only for a personal tragedy to jeopardise that happy ending. I'm not a Scrooge, but it always turns out alright so why invest into anyway? A slushy rom com where you've given 90 minutes of your life may be worth a wry smile once the protagonists eventually (and predictably) get together in the final scene... but I'd prefer to see something a little more hopeful from the start.
Besides, the father is a right dick for ignoring his daughter throughout the sequence and his only act is to film her performance through a phone (although he gets bonus points for having his device in landscape).
