Well, if it does return, I hope they revamp their entire on screen presentation and make it consistent so that it gives it a bit of a fresh look. The idents aside, the entire presentation package needs reviewing.
I have a feeling Onemess will resume where it left off come 1st Jan, with no new additions. However, if 2018 is heralded in with a new one, this is the nightmare that could be awaiting us:

I think you find oneness will return in January has we have heard of a new look yet and least the idents could last at least 4 years if not 10 if I’m wrong I will be happy

I doubt it since there missing idents, its was made clear in the press released how many would be made yet nothing new has been made for months now. Why drop the new idents if they're going to be kept?

The "spotlight" zooms in on the programme title at the end of the trail. So, I think the ident itself is spotlight focused rather than allowing ordinary people to be put in the spotlight. 24 hours and we'll know.
Well,I don't know what to think of it.. the effects on the "O" are quite nice (although that probably is a reminder that Oneness isn't quite over), but a curtain.. maybe not repetitive, but not Christmassy enough

Have to link to the BBC Creative website, but they've produced a video summing up a short look behind the Oneness ident, or as they call it, a project. Apparently, the idents will be inducted into the National Portrait Gallery in 2019.
