Was thumbing through the RT at work (busy as ever!!) and was most disappointed that Morecambe and Wise has been shunted to Boxing Day!! Christmas Day without Morecambe and Wise?? Sacre bleu.

Any chance of captures?
Not likely, considering they haven't been shown yet.

Yes, there are short interclips: 'Headbang', 'Knife and Fork', 'Executive Toy' and 'Pumping Puddings'...... I'll leave those up to your imagination, but they're entertaining.

Ab Fab like a drink or two,
But not before Test the Nation
And Holby calms palpitations.
Thanks for that. I kept trying to work it out, but got no where. I thought I did well getting the rest of it though!

Hmmm.... I'm not particularly sure about this....
I think BBC One should go back to producing christmas trailers with particular themes, rather than adding DVE effects to existing trailers.
I think the greatest trailer used by BBC One was around 1990, with a wizard floating through quite an obscure scene involving lots of magic-dust!
Hopefully a relaunch for BBC One awaits in the new year....

Totally agree! If BBC Marketing are ever reading any of these comments, then for God's sake take note! I for now though, will give them the benefit of the doubt and assume the trailers are just teaser trails and that the Christmas Pudding theme will start to air over the next week or so. For instance, we havn't had a "Films For Christmas" trail yet so I'm hoping that the trails will get better. TV pres has become very laxy! I remember the 1990 Wizard aswell. He popped out of a storybook. The 1987 trails were good too as were the 1994 ones. My favourite ones were the 1992 and 1993 ones.
Can anyone remember the brilliant musical trail in 1993 that featured Pauline Quirk, Linda Robson and Noel Edmonds? It went something like:
"Ding Dong, Ding Dong, Ring -a-ling-a-ding-dong. BBC1's gotta lotta things on!"
It was well festive! It then gave way to a fabulous arctic animation sequence showing polar bears and penguins! Those were the days!!!

I vaguely remember that one, I don't know whether I have it on one of my old videos still or not. I'll have a look later on today.
I think from the same one, I remember...
Jim D.: "Rub my lamp and hear him say..."
John V. "Pot as many balls as you can"
From there I'm sure it went to some clip with Noel Edmunds in.
