At long last! BBC1 Yorkshire has its own Christmas pudding ident, complete with the sparkling BBC ONE box. I was getting worried. Everywhere else seemed to be getting one.
The BBC1 Yorkshire variant of this ident was first shown before the news at 1:00PM, then again at 6:00PM and for Look North at 6:30PM. The one at 6:30PM was great, because the jolly audio of the ident continued for 5 seconds as the cameras zoomed in on Harry Gration and Christa Ackroyd behind the newsdesk - just seemed amusing (This happens with the regular idents "Skateboarders" and "Acrobats").

They do that on Hull.

Which is probably why they never use Festival into Look North!
Used to be ok when the balloons were in use, but now, and particularly with this jolly christmas affair I'm surprised they manage to keep a straight face!

LOL
Look at this ident (watch in the right bottom corner) as one of the Kids falls off the bouncy pudd.

Which begs the question - intentional, or one of the further cock-ups that make this take 'as good as it could get'?

What with the two that collide as well, I'm guessing they didn't have the time, or inclination to choreograph it, so with the exception of telling the first kid where to go I think they probably kidnapped a whole load of kids from various playgrounds and told them to bounce around for 30 seconds.

It's kind of cute, really! They
must
have left it in intentionally, surely. Also, I can't imagine it was the easiest thing in the world to correograph and film - I think that incident does add to the charm of the idents. Well, it certainly makes them more interesting, anyway... I'm still not
that
keen on them, though - next year - must try harder...

I noticed this the other day and thought from the look on the kid's face and the way s/he looks around at the crew I think it must have been partially intentional on his part. But now that I've looked again it does look a bit more accidental. So sorry, child, for having mentally slandered you!!
I think it adds to the whole thing really - nothing's perfect after all.

Why should this be an out-take? This adds more of an unpredictability than a choreographed sequence and as the child in question seems to take it on the chin and soldiers on undaunted - how many adult performers would do that?
If you've got 30 spacehoppers bouncing around in the same place it's bound to happen. With just one person falling off, it went more than smoothly!
