If it isn't snow, what's that white stuff on the ground they're bouncing around on. And what's that falling from the sky? Rolling Eyes

OK, so not a HUGE improvement to the xmas idents, but this one is more jolly.
It makes me smile when I hear that!

What are the chances of seeing a regional Christmas ident in England? Doesn't look good with the news and local news being interconnected.

Indeed it was much better before BBC1 dropped regional idents except for before the main news.
There will probably be 4 showings of a regional version at 1pm, 6pm, 6.30pm & before the late news until Thursday and then that'll be it, as all short bulletins thereafter will probably come on straight after the news. It also means you don't get regional announcements with unusual presenting lineups anymore.

The first ident then... it's not that bad.. but to be honist its just like last years but just bouncing on christmas puddings instead of dressing up as snow flakes...
Could of had more imagination... still not that bad

Did anyone manage to record any first airings of the ident? Please could you post them up if possible.

Many thanks and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Just in case anyone cares, the first BBC2 Christmas ident appeared before Flog It tonight, the 2001 'tree' one. Unlike 2002 & 3, though, there's no wait for a new one...

BBC One Christmas 2004 Ident (First Junction Airing) - 978kb

To much like previous years for me to care about them really. Surely they won't introduce the news with that tune? I think I'm going to prefer ITV1's attempt again this year.
