How do you get BBC World in the UK apart from watching it via the net?

No disrespect to you mate. But are you taking the p*ss?
It has been stated several times that you cannot get BBC World in the UK unless you watch a stream on the internet, or if you are in the BBC Television Centre, as that is where it is transmitted from. Face the facts BBC World will never be on Sky or cable.

Erm just to BUT in, Don't you know you can get it in the UK.
Though not on SKY D or Cable - but it's on satelite!
So get your facts correct first!

Erm, am I missing something here?
Point a satellite at 13.0E, hook up an analogue or digital FTA receiver, and you can get it. I believe it's also on digital FTA on 19.2E (as a rebroadcast of the analogue HotBird signal), but I'm not sure if a Sky Digibox will be able to pick it up there.

Yeah, it is broadcast on Astra in digital, but the quality is poorer than the Hotbird feeds. If you're going for it, I'd recommend pointing your dish at Hotbird rather than Astra if you're specifically after BBC World.
I don't see why people are so nasty to people who ask this question - not all people have been here since day one, and as such might not know that it has already been mentioned. It takes a lot less effort to actually answer the question than moan about it. This type of attitude is what puts people off from visiting.
