Thank you James Hall for the following...

"Please continue this discussion in this thread."

Do you really have nothing better to do than redirect people? It is sad to see these boards being treated like this. I remember the golden days of TV Forum - when people were free to talk without their messages being closed, redirected and so on.

Have you considered a job with government? I am sure they could use another 'people controller'.

Bring back the balloons and the good ole days of TV FORUM.

So, to anyone who feels like saying "please continue discussion in thread X", don't.

I'm sure that's how all those massive generic threads started. God I hated them!

I love you.

The TV Mix music is commonplace on South Today; it's used for the "Have YOU got NEWS for US?" trailer.

A quick note before I am removed... apparently I might be for sending a public message about someone and for not using the right thread!

If this is this case - this may be the last message I send. I would find that deeply saddening for several reasons.

1) I have been a loyal member for quite some time
2) I do not abuse the forum - only post information generally
3) I think it is sad I cannot comment - freedom of speech?

Anyway thanks for the support - I appreciate the Instant Messages and the emails on here.

Until next time, if there is one, goodbye.

Why leave because you were re-directed to another thread? If James hadn't re-directed you, then one of the moderators would have done. It's always been done like this - we never have more than one topic per subject at a given time.

Oh for God's sake. I only redirected you to help you so you could find the right thread where people were talking about that topic. I didn't ever say I would 'remove' you - I'm not one of the mods, just somebody who was trying to help you out. I never sent you any PMs, I never felt the need to - saying as it was just a trivial matter such as pointing you in the right direction.

Honestly. Can we get on-topic please?

EDIT: I've just read that PM and I don't close the threads, the mods do. Read the comments above and be mature about this.

I think it was because it was from you. All you seem to do on here is redirect other people and lecture them about getting back on topic which makes you look like an annoying busybody who thinks he is a mod.

The fact you've just done it agian in that GMTV thread shows you haven't grasped what has been said in here.

You and Charlie Wells think you're friggin mods - it isn't your duty to help people out, so don't bother. The tone you use in your messages doesnt help your case "Please continue in this thread..." Do you have power that we don't know of?

Thought not. Get a life and stop jumping at every opportunity in the hope that it makes you look big.

Back on topic, thank you, same special disc played out this morning on BBC-2 starting the second Olympic week of Ceefax-AM.
The wrong announcement however was played at 5.59am though over the BBC-2 Ident. Quote.. "Hello, this is BBC-2. and coming across from BBC-1 now It's Breakfast". Cue... Pages From Ceefax!

Hehe... Just when you thought the first announcement of the day was live!

Maybe they hired someone in from ITV1 who used to play the annos overnight? Razz

That should be "PAGE 1 OVERTYPE" I think. That's what appeared in the pre-roll into the Big Read ident a few months back.
