Maxine was single presenter at 10 on World and N24 (although I did notice she had a poppy on - perhaps after all the press attention they've decided to let her wear it despite being on World).
My guess would be that BBC would get even more criticism from UK media if you had Maxine taking the poppy on/off every half hour as it would make the whole policy look ridiculous.
A quick question.. those monitors at the back of the World studio - are they the actual gallery, or just a collection of screens showing various sources for use by the newsroom.
Well I assume the summary that's just gone out on World with Mike Embley was pre-recorded, otherwise it was a very tight turnaround after the BBC1 summary!
The other question is who'll be presenting from 1900? Last time they cam from World, the choice was between Chris Lowe and probably Gwenan Edwards - they chose Chris to present on his own. Will it be Chris or Anna tonight, or both? We'll have to wait and see...

It's strange being able to watch Sky news on the monitor just to the left of the presenter!
Here is a little extra info on why the joint weekends work like they do :
BBC News 24 is broadcast continuously from one gallery, including recorded programmes, stings etc.
BBC World only broadcasts news bulletins from their gallery, and have a separate presentation area to handle channel presentation, pre-recorded programmes etc. At weekends BBC World have shorter bulletins (between 5-10mins?) in some hours, and more normal length bulletins in others.
At weekends BBC News 24 provides the BBC One/Two Breakfast/Weekend 24 programmes.
BBC World and BBC News 24 have near identical news galleries, as News 24 used to come from BBC World's current studio, and not much was changed in equipment terms. Both of the galleries use identical server playout systems, and run on similar numbers of gallery staff, and in a similar production style.
Whenever there is a joint weekend, from either studio and gallery, BBC News 24 is broadcast continuously from the remaining studio and gallery, and BBC World presentation join and leave (opt in and opt out) for some shared bulletins, which are branded as BBC News.
At the times when BBC World have short bulletins, or BBC News 24 are required to produce a domestic bulletin for BBC One/Two - Breakfast/Weekend 24 etc, then BBC World output comes from the BBC One/Two studio. This is only available when not close to a BBC One news bulletin. If there is a clash, then occasionally BBC World will have to record their bulletin a little before transmission.
The BBC One/Two gallery is not used for all the World transmissions though, as it also has to be used to pre-record the recorded World programmes, such as Asia Today, Reporters etc. which would normally be made in the World studio (which cannot be used as News 24 are on-air all the time!)
