We got
News 24
intro etc. and Maxine called it News 24 (I think). There was no wide shot and we just went straight to her in the World studio so I just thought 'hmmm, it's the CSO they use when World just have a 10 minute bulliten ' it looks quite good'.
But then
, Maxine turned and looked at the w/s/ telly to her right, hence we got a couple of different camera shots and the studio was behind her (in different perspectives) all the time - so she can't be in CSO?
So where is it from?

Edit @ 9.15:
Just remembered that we started with Northern Island story at top of hour - UK news.
At 9.15 - News 24 logo is on the w/s telly and she goes into the headlines 'on BBC News 24' - but quite clearly from the World studio!!!
Also the sport bullitens (even at *.16) are from the Sport Today (if that's what its called) studio! It all looks so nice!

Don't understand why your confused. The News 24 bulletins are ALL coming from the World studio this weekend. As noggin mentioned it's the World (short) bulletins that are coming from the BBC1 news studio using a CSO. Only some of the bulletins will be joint - this is when the main BBC1 studio is being used (surprise surprise) on BBC1!
This is why I was confused - if News 24 were joining World I wouldn't expect N24 to throw World out of their own studio! i.e. World doing
their
buillitens from the CSO while N24 use their studio!
See, us humble UK folk are important after all! Hope you can understand my confusion - I didn't think of this.

Hello there all!, I'm back after a glorious week in the south and much to my suprise I found Weeked 24 coming form the world studio, I read the forum from a Kiosk a couple of days ago so I was expecting it, I mearly just forgot!
I'm suprised they didn't use a wide shot of the studio at 09:00 because there was no apparent reason why they shouldn't, notice how they are not using the regular 'Single Presenter' set up within the camera shot with the camera no moved up close to the presnter pinting towards the left wall of the studio.
I switched on to see the end of Gate 24 and was quite pleased to see 2 presenters at the desk (I really must stress again that World should use two for some bullitains!) from then It kind of went downhill as the headlines were mucked up with the auto cue apparing to miss a story on the sequence!
With the sport's bulliatian the whole thing looked disproportined with the usual sport images being shown on that one large screen in the Sport Today studio (with finger prints all over it!!!)
The paper review was alright, but I much prefered the regular studio!
In all it wasn't bad a few things looked strange, but hey no studio change is perfect!, let's hope they do better on breakfast tommorow morning and let's hope BBC World improve there studio further still (by adding a sense of symatery to both side of the studio, perhaps??)

Ha ,Ha now that was hillarious I was waching BBC World just now for the 10:00 merged bullitain, and after the BBC World countdown, we got a first, The News 24 countdown, on screen, on BBC World, for about 5 seconds, then the headlines and then a wide shot, With BBC News 24 on both the plasmas!
It's does like quite good, normally BBC News 24 is preety bland, but it looks so much better in the World studio, there are using some classy angles aren't they!
I have noticed though that the studio sound is less when the main presenter is on, but there is more studio noice when let's say in this case a person being interviewed is on!
It was very noticeable when Liz Pike was speaking, and there was less studio noise when Asad was on.

Oh what a morning!!!!!!
Yeah you are right, World viewers also got a glimspe of the News 24 countdown, and they used the same vamp twice, that was cool, it's a pity they haven't got a tag for it though!

Well, I don't think News 24 will be completely follow BBC World, I would be very surprised if we got to see 'BBC World News' with all the stings and idents! They usually do a 'compromise', i.e. BBC News like overnight. It will be the overnight ident, and I wouldn't be surprised if they used the overnight vamp aswell, but you never know. I wonder if they will use the World Business and World Sport stings? BBC News 24 will opt out straight after the news, for the weather, some trailers and then will go back to the BBC World studio for BBC News 24, while World go off with their World Weather, Break filler and seperate programmes. If its differenent to that, it would suprise me a lot!
The diffrence betweenn World and N24 is that ALL of News 24 comes from the studio; it's a studio and presentation/playout area.
World on the other hand is run by the presenation department from a diffrent part of the building. The studio just provides the bulletins, so when there is no World bulletin it can be used for other things.

Ok - simple reason for the strange top shot at 0900 - there was very little time to change over from 2 presenters (Asad & Liz) to one (Maxine) - so they left the shot the same ... not enough time for Asad to get, Maxine to get in, mic up and then centre her chair etc properly - you will notice it changed into the bulletin and was different at 10.
And the two Breakfast presenters were NOT on World - they were only on N24/BBC1&2 ... Maxine was single presenter at 10 on World and N24 (although I did notice she had a poppy on - perhaps after all the press attention they've decided to let her wear it despite being on World).
