So will BBC News 24 have its own programmes, or will it totally follow World until the work is done. And i will be looking forward to watching BBC News 24 this weekend then.

Also, comparing pictures of before and after the renovations on the BBC World set, it looks like it is not smaller than before, unless that is just the camera angle, or lens.

LOL, sorry Asa! I forgot about that Smile

Well, I don't think News 24 will be completely follow BBC World, I would be very surprised if we got to see 'BBC World News' with all the stings and idents! They usually do a 'compromise', i.e. BBC News like overnight. It will be the overnight ident, and I wouldn't be surprised if they used the overnight vamp aswell, but you never know. I wonder if they will use the World Business and World Sport stings? BBC News 24 will opt out straight after the news, for the weather, some trailers and then will go back to the BBC World studio for BBC News 24, while World go off with their World Weather, Break filler and seperate programmes. If its differenent to that, it would suprise me a lot!

It is likely that a lot of bulletins will be 'joint' 'BBC News' though unusually for World some may have two presenters.

It is also likely that some, separate, BBC World only bulletins will be done from the CSO position used for UK Today in the BBC One/Two studio, though with a BBC World studio backing. (This is because some BBC World bulletins are only 3 or 4'00' summaries - which would look out of place on News 24)

The BBC One/Two studio will also need to be used to make the recorded BBC World programmes (like Reporters etc)

A similar style of programming was done a few weeks back when there was a weekend of semi-joint programmes from the News 24 set on both BBC World and News 24.

Let me get something straight here. Which channels are getting a new design, and when?

This topic has got me totally baffled. Confused

Has anyone got any screen shots of BBC WORLD, so those who don't have it can see the presentation (If they can't wait until the weekend!)

Ryan, no channel is getting a new look! News 24's set is having something done to it...which you probably won't be able to see onscreen.

DH, TV Home has an excellent BBC World page at www.tvhome.co.uk and so does The TV Room, at www.thetvroom.com

Anyway, you won't be seeing any BBC World presentation - no idents, stings etc, there will probably still be a N24 countdown, and a generic BBC News ident (used overnight)
