BBC World Online Stream

Hi,

Does anyone know if the BBC World asian stream is still online and what the URL is? I know the main feed is no-longer available online but I seem to remember there being an Asian feed online too. I've just got broadband and wan't to try it out

The Korean Feed still is. It's what I use to get images for WORLDwatch.

Hello MikeG, do you have any plans to capture the Asia breakfiller and Asia Business Report, and put it up on your fantastic website?

Has anyone got any ideas why I don't get any picture - just blackness and sound?

I only get the Windows Player graphic and sound, are you on broadband DAS, if you aren't, then you'll see no picture!

Aha - that'd be why then. Cheers. I'll make do with wonderful 56K and the sound of BBC WORLD!

your connection speed is too low.

I use the Korean feed to watch WORLD, and although I'm glad I can still watch it, I'm still so annoyed that the 300k feed was taken away!

I don't know about anyone else, but I have broadband, and trying to watch the Korean feed is a complete nightmare! It continously re-buffers, and it's one major pain in the neck! The only time I can get to watch it properly seems to be the weekends! Whereas with the old 300K stream, both sound and picture quality were truely excellent!

I am on a 56k modem but I configured my media player - not that page - so I could get still from it. I put it as though my connection was 128KB/sec and hey presto, it worked.

I now get 109KB/sec for the majority of the time. Sometimes I go down to 18KB/sec - sound not pics - but this usually only lasts for a few minutes at the most. If this doesn't work for you - I must be the lucky one! Lol!

The Asia breakfiller - for me - is just the normal 'Coming Up'. That's all. As for Asia Business Report, I am planning to capture it but it is hown at some really horrible hours - for me! Always during the night GMT.

I will get it as soon as possible though but I am increasingly finding it hard to get images I don't have! Having said that, today I got loads of stills from SPORTStalk.
