Where exactly in TVC is it? (March 2004)

Having been on two tours of BBC TV Centre, and having received conflicting information on each one, I turn to the sages in the Forum for clarification.

Clearly the BBC World newsroom is in TVC Stage 5 , but on which floor? One guide said the first floor (i.e. the saime as N6, used for the national 1/6/10, Hardtalk etc), but another said all the 24 hour operations (i.e. Radio 5, 5 Sports Extra, News 24 and World) were grouped together on the second floor.

A small point I know, but would be interested to find out.

Thanks.

World is on level 1 of Stage 5, the same level as the nationals, which is in Stage 6.

News 24, 5 Live and Sport 24 are on the 2nd floor of Stage 6. Sports X donesn't really 'exist' anywhere, but comes from a Workshop on the 2nd floor too.

It's no secret where everything is. You can see everything from White City station anyway.

And its been said so many times on here anyway.

Remember that the broadcast centres are secure zones, ie: you need a PAC key to let you in.

There are many other things on here that others have divulged: Marcus and NickyS are the two main culprits; two people who make no secret as to who/where they work.

No, not at all. There is nothing ive said that isn't already on this forum 100 times over.

I don't however, get into long conversations on here about editorial or production policies or changes.

It don't think the beeb are that concerned about the studio locations, all the dimensions, and where they are etc of the main TVC studios are all there on the beeb technology site.

Well you will not be able to. Security will probably stop you and you could get thrown off site or arrested for trespassing or attempting to break in, as these areas are not for the access of the general public or those without PAC keys (whatever they are - I assume some kind of swipe card like they have at Heathrow).

It must be the card that all the staff have cos when i was der last, at the front gate all the staff were swipeing cards
