Are you two just winding us up or dropping some heavy (and yet strangely subtle) hints?
Do tell - people must be told.
I'll spoil it for you then
Actually, I'm not sure if it still applies, but I remember a couple of months back that it was mentioned that their was a new look BBC Four News coming (before we knew it would transform into 'The World') and that it might not necessarily have a corporate look to it.
Thing is though if this happens, 'The World' will stick out like a saw thumb in terms of how it looks compared to everything else on BBC World, quite daft really.

This is what has puzzled me - for 2 years, BBC Four News has looked out of place on BBC World, with it being orange/black, rather than red/cream. Even the music was different. Now, for about 2 weeks, both BBC Four News and BBC World matched perfectly, whilst there still being differentiation. Now why have the bosses decided to scrap this and, if it is departing from the corporate look, create a gulf between the two again?

I think the idea is that The World does look completely different to the rest of the output. It has it's own totally separate production team and is trying to build up a reputation off it's own back as opposed to hanging off BBC World.
It is not a News Bulletin as you get for the other 23 hours each day on World, but is trying to give much more background and analysis with some wonderfully crafted packages. If anything it's a Global version of Newsnight, so needs to stand out from the rest of the output.
I think it sounds quite a good idea to be honest. Perhaps BBC World should scrap the countdown into it, and just have an Ident like BBC Four. I'm looking forward to it!.
