Whats happening with the BBC WORLD presenters?

It used to be like this:

0600-1000 Martine Dennis/Lyse Doucet/Peter Coe/Anita McNaught
1000-1400 Nik Gowing/Stephen Cole
1400-2000 Stephen Cole/Lindsey Brancher
2000-0100 Phil Hayton/Adrian Finighan

But now, we have Phil Hayton on in the morning (GMT), Nik Gowing on in the afternoon, Anita McNaught and Lindsey Brancher swapping over from bulletin to bulletin on Sunday - whats going on?!

There's a bit of a re-jig going on. Can't say too much coz I don't know all the facts yet, but as far as I am aware there's a swap with a World & N24 presenter in the pipeline quite soon

I hope we get Phil a bit more, as well as Martine Dennis or Anita McNaught!

Ooooh that sounds quite interesting. I hope there will be more Martine Dennis and Philip Hayton on News 24. Also if you look at the BBC World website the presenter profiles have been slightly altered with a few new names. What has happened to BBC world's Nici Marx? She did News 24 Breakfast with Chris Eakin on the August bank Holiday and last Christmas, but apart from that not much. Though I did hear her reading the news on 5 live the other day. Is this permanent?

As mentioned on a thread elsewhere Nici Marx has left BBC World as a full-time presenter and is now freelance.

She has been seen presenting CNN International from London, as well as the Bank Holiday News 24 Breakfast, and heard reading news bulletins on Five Live.

Blimey - the swap has happened already!! Jane Hill is on BBC World instead of Phil Hayton tonight, and she's only finished on News 24 an hour ago!!

Techy Peep, I have another question for you. You know during the week, at what time do BBC World join News 24 for the overnight news? If they join at 0100, when the other titles are first used, then who presents the 0000 bulletin on BBC World? Is it still Phil Hayton or Adrian Finighan (or in tonight's case, Jane Hill!).

It is always the same presenter that's been presenting from 2000 BST, so in this case tonight it will be Jane Hill!

So what are the presenter slots then now on BBC World?

I know the following:

0100-0500 (Overnight N24)
0500-0800 (Martine Dennis & Lindsey Brancher)
2000-0100 (Phil Hayton/Adrian Finighan)

But what are the slots during the day, i.e. between 0800 and 2000? How many presenters present during the day? If you're a bit lost, here are the slots on News 24:

0100-0500 (Heather McCarthy/Martine Croxall/Susan Osman)
0500-0600 (Martine Dennis/Lindsey Brancher)
0600-0900 (Jeremy Bowen & Sophie Raworth)
0900-1300 (Chris Eakin/Mike Embley & Joanna Gosling)
1300-1600 (Bill Turnbull & Valerie Sanderson)
1600-1900 (Matthew Amroliwala & Jane Hill)
1900-2300 (Gavin Esler & Carrie Gracie/Chris Lowe & Anna Jones)
2300-0100 Peter Coe/Peter Dobbie/John Nicolson

So can anyone help with BBC World?

Sorry to confuse even more - but whats happened to that Ben Geoehegoeneohe bloke with the impossible surname (spelling i mean, its pronounced Gay-gan) - I thought he presented with Joanna Gosling?? And I hope that Jane Hill aint gonna move to BBC World full time - shes great on News 24.
