BBC World Insite Updates

BBC World posted the changes to the onscreen design in their Insite but I am not sure whether you all took note about it. I might as well as inform all fans here!

BBC World has a new onscreen look that ensures the channel's news programming has even greater impact on viewers.


There is a "tower" of information in the bottom left of the screen. This is a block of graphics that is the new home of the BBC World logo and our website address - these move from the top left and top right of the screen respectively. More there

That's been up for nearing three months now...

Just noticed a few things on that website:

HARDTALK EXTRA
A new series from the HARDtalk stable, HARDtalk Extra will profile personalities from the worlds of art, entertainment and science. Actors, musicians and doctors are just some of those who will reveal the secrets of their craft as we'll also hear some remarkable stories from individuals who's lives have suddenly made the headlines. With its rigourous questioning and meticulous research, HARDtalk Extra asks why the spotlight fell on them.

This programme will be shown weekly.
First transmission Friday 09/04/04.

UK DIRECT
Each week BBC World features special reports that throw a spotlight on events in the UK.

This programme will be shown in Weeks 22-26. (From 22nd May 2004)

I remember ages ago someone suggesting a 'UK Direct' kind of programme for BBC World.

Yes that was me, who suggusted something along those lines, and now they are going to implement it soon!
