It's all happening on DTT - 701 had the windmills film in anamorphic when I switched on, which then changed to a one camera view taken from England v Tunisia 4 years ago. Then it cut to the actual BBC footage of that match, complete with old yellow scoreline and Barry Davies (although still anamorphic), then to BBCi/BBC Sport card with Transponder 4/Stream 1 on it.
702 seems to be the same but delayed by a few minutes - and of course Stream 2 on the test card.
It's now launched on DTT - the two options are currently showing lots of England press conferences and a re-run of Fra v Sen. Sadly it's a simply redirect to channel 701/2 so you get the big green bar at the top when you select the option, but it's better than nothing. Oh, and the "menu" DOG is permanent - I haven't tried setting subtitles to see whether you can wipe it out and simply got to 701/2 manually.

Red Button launched on Telewest. I watched the France v Senegal match!
It has a choice of commentary (Motty, Five Live or Crowds); Highlights page with streaming vids; Extra - tactical view page and E-Mails etc and a help page!
Quite good but the 1/2 time commentary was crap. I think it was a test so maybe it was supposed to be not on par. Still don't know why the BBC showed the match but I am not complaining - I want them to do it for all of them!
They showed it live, whilst ITV1 were showing it? I didn't think they were allowed to do that...
They showed the match as soon as the service began on DTT at 3pm (our outside of matches service is 3pm-6am, why I don't know, as it isn't as if anyone else needs the space - and matches often end long before 3pm), although I wasn't around for the half time stuff. It's now showing England vs Brazil from 1970, although they cut out the half term stuff. I think the service will come into it's own during the matches - although it's exciting to think of the possibilities with other sporting (and non-sporting) events now that the BBC have got this space on DTT. After all, SDN aren't getting any money by having it lying around.

Yes, I was watching on Telewest's interactive feed which I presume was a test as many on Digital Spy said they couldn't recieve it yet. (Today was the day the red button became active). The analysis at 1/2 time, as I have said was poor and had a woman who just wanted to eye out the talent on the field and the presenter was just crap) so this leads me to presume they are doing it for all games but this was just to show how they can do it.

We haven't got the extra things. Nothing now works which again, lets me think it was a test. From tomorrow I think we get the interactive in games and just a text service outside games. I hope they continue showing ITV1 games though as I can't stand their coverage! Prefer the voice of Motty.

I have Telewest Cable (ex Cable Midlands area), I've had the software update with the press red facility, but it doesnt seem to work on any channel yet, when is it launching officially? It only works on the information channel so far.

AFAIK, interactive elements come 'live' tomorrow. The first being BBCi World Cup - Ireland match.
Yes, you are right. Alan Green was good. I did listen to him more than Motty but, at the end of the day, Motty's a legend!
BTW: Do you think that is going to be the design used? From ones I have seen, the LOGO, SCORE and TIME are all in a yellow and black square and the options for interactivity are not boxed.

Well, just found out we are also getting the extra feeds so we have the interactive in games by pressing the red button, world cup text (by pressing interactive button) and 3 channels (951,952 and 952) showing the same as ntl from 1500-0600!
