World and 24 are two completely seperate TV channels. World only takes (in normal circumstances) N24 news for 4, 25 and a half minute bulliteins in a 24 hour period.

Believe me, it is easier for World to join (and leave) 24 on an exact time (ie xx:00:00) than trying to opt into countdown clocks that could start at anytime and different every hour, and both directors trying to agree an opt time. It just wouldn't work. It would also mean that one of the channels would not have the correct branding and cause confusuion to the audience.

The new world countdown uses n24 music, so it should be shown on world and n24 overnight, they can fade into the same countdown at different times, n24 maybe a 20sec or so while world 10secs

Sorry guys - dream as much as you like. It won't happen.
It won't be easier to share the countdowns, it'll make life worse. They are there to serve one purpose, and one purpose alone - to fill to the top of the hour when you have no more material to fit the gap

Besides, as Andyrew and one of his collegues know from experience on Monday morning, it's hard enough organising normal opt-in & out times! (What do we fancy putting out? News or Simpsons World?!! )

Have you all noticed that the flash version is better than the countdown itself! The numbers are more centered and the rings that come from the centre look cleaner!
I like the new countdown, but is that how it really starts? I never hear that music when it's on, just normal news 24!

BBC World just need to tweek it just a little.

I don;t think that will ever happen, but then again I can see this countdown on TV!

Anyway, it's not right, and it dosen't fit with the headlines bed, unless they set the headlines bed to the right sound level, and i'm afraid the guys in the newsroom won't do this on a regular basis.

CAN SOMEONE MAKE THE HEADLINES BED CONSISTANT!!!!!

SO mdta. Thought the countdown didn't use N24 Music. That's what you told me.

But I knew all along that it did.

Oh and on the front page of hedgehog Online Truly is spelt truely.

I suggest you fix it Smile

Well. The font used is Gill Sans. If it appears in something else then you don't have it installed. And it's pointless importing it if that's what you are doing because some of it doesn't work once it's been imported.

And thanx for telling me about the spelling mistake. No-one has said anything yet. Shows they don't pay much attention.

All depends who's on Sound at any particular period as to what sound levels you get. Some prefer to slam the sound into the limiters so you hear PPM5.5-6, some prefer PPM4.

Sound is subjective - there is no right or wrong, as is lighting

Well. Technically. Lighiting has a right or wrong. It could be entirely out. Or Really Bright.
See. Not just fresh air between my ears.

Aah. My Gill Sans disappeared when I redid Windows.
I was just importing it to have a nose around at how Flash is done properly!

Perhaps the others don't know how to spell. It seems the trendy thing to do if youre on the net. Can't wait for the launch!
