BBC WORLD Countdown

So is the audio the same as the News 24 countdown, or is it slightly different?

If its different, it'll be ages before we get the official mp3 - we're still all waiting for the TWT ones!

Also has anyone noticed how the really fast repling always happens when the forum goes into a big Error 500 mood?

I doubt it'll be played in full on BBC World for a long time! Look at when we first saw the N24 full one actually on N24.

Well at 3pm (BST), it was a BBC NEWS Special Report from Washington with Philippa Thomas. WORLD used their old countdown followed by ident. Perhaps they're juggling them about!

Well it was back to the old version at 1500
perhaps it went out in error at 1400

Well its coming up to 6 pm...record button on standby (cross fingers)

Yes they've gone back to their old one, but I saw the new one countdown from 30 secs, and then cut straight to Anita McNaught with no ident:shock:

Why has BBC World come up with the music for News 24, couldn't they come up with anything original! I'm sure there must be a different beginning to it as it's only 60 secs long!

Does this mean the end of the BBC World ident, I hope not!!

I know the logic behind a 10second countdown followed by ident to hit the hour was a little odd but it looks much better than having a V/O speak over the last few seconds. Surely the Beeb aren't running out of variations of the news theme?!

Why they couldn't have re-recorded a 1min version of the 10sec theme, I don't know!

Well done for capturing that one at 2pm - let's hope it's tweaked.

I think the announcer is automated, hence the reason why the announcer just pops up at the end!

Cool. Not a massive change. But Hey. It's cool. They could have tried to alter the music a bit though
