Does anyone know when the new countdown for BBC WORLD will be used - will it sound different to the one at the moment, as I really like it!! Is this a sign that there will be a different BBC NEWS ident for BBC WORLD in the near future (I definately hope not, as the BBC WORLD NEWS ident is the best from the BBC!)

i've just seen it!
it looks a lot like the news 24 countdown, same music, though the titles were all the same. It started at about 27 seconds.
Instead of a BBC World Ident with Adrian Finnaghan saying 'News, 24 hours a day, this is BBC World', Adrian faded in when the countdown got to about 7 seconds. Very interesting, and an improvement from the 10 second countdown!
Not sure when it is going to be used. It has been made and I have seen it. I am not going to pass comment at this stage. It will sound different, but don't get your hopes up to high.
The news idents are not changing, and early next year the music on them will change to something more like what is used on TWT.
I must say, its very strange hearing the News 24 countdown on World but the graphics are still 'warmer' than those on News 24 which I think makes it look nice! It'll take a bit of getting used to though!
Not sure about the announcement with the countdown though, although it now actually does countdown to the hour.

Can someon try to get a full countdown 59secs, and an mp3 of the music, so i can start making it in flash.
