I'm not sure about the titles. The way they end with that logo zooming in looks so amateurish for some reason. I also can't see why they are not in widescreen for the UK viewers. Or if not the graphics, than at least the full camera shots. (as we all know that they are 16:9 cameras). They could probably easily tweak the graphics for widescreen, though.
I've just put my finger on it - the titles have been made in Microsoft PowerPoint!
actually, the titles have been made in widescreen, this mornings news 24 wbr output had the full widescreen titles, and full widescreen studio shots. must have been some form of dodgy editing on that 2.30 programme.
It's happened before, don't know how News 24 end up with a 14:9 copy though?
The BBC's Business Output is of an unmatched quality, the presentation may be going down, but quality is still excellent.
Also i see Business Today now has ending titles!
Also a change in the ending motto. It used to be "Two for the Price of One On this Program", it seems now to be "thanks for making your business our business".
I didn't spot that, i'll have a look out for that phrase and end titles!
Yeah I still think WBR is superior to Business Today in terms of content, but Business Today has better titles, but it's astons let them down, while with WBR it's the titles that are bad, but good astons!

It depends on who's presenting in New York as to which signoff they have - Paddy O'Connell's used to be something along the lines of "we're the business, and thank you for yours". John Terrett's was the "Two for the price of one on this programme...", and the latest one is Tanya Beckett's.
Harshy, re:Marketboards - I noticed yesterday they played out the new style of marketboard with the usual music, but since then they've gone back to the old version.

I see that Jamie Robertsom's fear of putting his hands actually on the desk hasn't changed. He looks a bit strange when his hands disappear down the back of the desk
Jamie & Tanya are by far the better combination. Manisha doesn't really suit business & economics. John was better on News 24 Business. Sally Bundock can get pretty irritating as well when she starts prattling on about her team of specialists poised to bring everyone the latest 'equity action'.

Really? I like all of them, though Jamie Robertson took a bit of getting used to: he always seems uncomfortable, though good. But I think John 'two-for-the-price-of-one' Terrett and Manisha Tank are the better pairing for the UK/NY show.
Am I right to assume the current pairing is temporary, while John and Manisha take a holiday? (I haven't seen Business Today for ages, so if they're both presenting it at the moment, forgive my stupid question!)
Normally which pair do Business Today do the WBR London / New York edition. It was meant to be John & Manisha at launch, but John isn't going to spend his whole life in New York, so the past few nights its been Manisha & Tanya or Jamie & Tanya I think.
Tanya, to me, seems very under-valued by the BBC. She has been removed from Breakfast for Declan Curry, She has been removed from The World Today for Sally Bundock, then removed from the London WBR for Manisha, packaged off to New York.
Dominic Dinotali (sp?) was quite good at presenting it, but he seems to do reporting now. Jane Sinclair is the worst by far. Ugh terrible.

John's biography thing says he and his family have moved to Manhattan, so I doubt he's left, unless he's got an offer from an American station. I hope it's not a permanent change.
The new titles are growing on me now, although the first part of the titles aren't in sync with the music (the bit before they do the headlines) even though the titles after the headlines are in sync. Why's that, is it just messy editing or deliberate?
I'm glad they kept the old music, it's very distinctive and the style is right for a programme about a fast moving subject such as business.
