Ian! What a lovely surprise. How I've missed your torrent of abuse and spam in my inbox. Delightful to see you here.
While I'm here, how did you get on with the BT Internet complaints dept? Hopefully they got my point across to you.
Now, first of all I don't think this is a video request forum as such. There's also a lot of members who don't like threads being started about minor issues such as this - especially when there's already a thread involved with this topic. So in future it's probably better that you don't start these sorts of threads. Also, the 'return' key performs its function for a purpose. Don't centre align text, for the sake of us Westerners used to writing being written across the page, and not centred down the middle.
Thanks so much. I'm sure from this point on your contributions will be both worthy and interesting.
Is there a download available of this? Coz if there is I would like a copy.
BTW Ian, welcome to the forum.
As far as I remember from the other thread we had on this topic andyrew (who should know) said that the countdown was only from 60 and that he'd only played it from around 45 .... but I may be wrong ... as I said andyrew will know.

Yeah, we all know this coutdown starts from 60, it's prettly good I ave got used to it, the only thing remaining to do is put a menu over it!
(Showing the times of whats coming up in the half hour perhaps, i.e. News at 00, Business at 16, Sports at 24 mins past the hour.)
It is possible to insert a 'Coming Up' menu over the World countdown but will need a re-plug of the vision mixer - they manually update an Aston page at the end of each programme just in case of a breakdown which they will broadcast over a static graphic along with some music.
However, I don't think you'll see it over the countdown as it will require a few button pushes on the vision mixer which coming up to the top of the hour Pres Directors don't have the time to do with everything else they've got to do.
Also, I don't think the Aston is available to the vision mixer as a seperate source to the composited output with the graphic beneath, but if a seperate key source is available from the Aston, they could simply do a seperate key with a white matte fill. Again I don't think this is available - they've only got a small vision mixer with limited sources

I'd love to see how it starts at 60 if it's the same as the N24 one - there are drum beats every four beats (or every four seconds on the counter) - at 06, 10, 14, etc. count this up and it becomes 50, 54, 58, 62 (no 60) - count it further and it goes 86, 90 - so the 90 on News 24 is fine, but I'd love to hear what they do to start World at 60! Or do they just start it from nothing regardeless?
This is Only from 22 Seconds But i need the Full 90 Second

Ian, I would like to kindly remind you that the image you displayed above is
my
image, taken from The TV Room's BBC World pages. You may no doubt downloaded the video, which again is
my
video, not yours. I don't want you distributing this to the MHP Private Parts or anywhere else. It is
mine
and I have given it to The TV Room and NO where else.
Consider yourself politely warned.

This isn't the 'Taylor' who keeps posting a right load of nonsense in the MHP Chat Private Parts is it?
Yes, Andrew, he is.
