Well, viewers all across the world were treated this moring. To start it off for the first time ever (exept when the bomb went off).  BBC World News used two presenters in the News 24 studio (merged with news 24 of course) And it sounded good.
This is BBC News with Darren Jordon and Julie Etchingham. Now thats refreshing.

Also the New Trailers promoting BBC World were shown today just before the 8:00 buliitain which showed a collection of BBC Journalists giving quick accounts of experiences they had and finishing up with BBC World's slogan right at the end. To add to this two mins later instead of the 'Next' screen which showed the full world titles with the voice over telling us 'World News Next on BBC World' we had one of the journalists in an inset screen teliing us something like 'Reaching 60 Miliion homes accross the world the world news is next'
(I just made up the number i'll correct it when I see it again) This adds to the similar style of the new coming up screen that was launhed last week.

Well done BBC World.

It's another joint N24/World weekend. News is either joint with N24 or from N6 with a CSO backdrop.

The news next pointers have been changed to feature news correspondents. There are 11 in total, and say things like 'Reaching 178 million home, BBC News is next'.

Oh, they're going ahead with the joint weekend then? There was doubt whether they were going to continue with Multi Domain installation until the problems were ironed out Wink

I did hear that there was a bit of 'set re-modeling' going on too.

You mean they don't have a, 'Reaching 71 million 24 hour homes and 96 million other homes on a part day basis', trailer?
Shocker!

I do wish News 24 would come up with some new trailers - they seem to have used that weather trailer and the one with Big Ben featured in it for ages. I know there's a new 'breaking the news' trailer, but I've not have the fortune to see it.

Yes, I would like to see more trailers. I also think tehy should use the World News ident to introduce the World News at 9.30am. This way they could have a trailer revolving round the BBC World theme!

One good thing, we had up to 60 sec clear countdown today, followed by the next hour around 50secs!!

It's the new set that's being built this weekend.
