Yeah, you'll enjoy the channel, however just a little warning, the other channels are mostly Italian, Turkey etc, so you won't have much choice, unless of course you know your Italian!

You can only get TRT-int on there I think, not exactly a good example of Turkish television at all. TGRT used to be on there too, which is slightly better but I'd prefer Star, Show and, well shoot me but I love Kral
Thanks for answering the question, yeah personally I don't take to much of an interest with the other channels, however I do watch TV4, which has a lot of dubbed programmes, but you can still hear the english!

Strange thing, I can get BBC World in three places: the net (well, broadband has been cancelled for me at this time ), digital television, and through a simulcast on CBC Newsworld. It would be strange to watch all three at the same time... and i have. it's great. Call me daft!
Oh, and BBC Canada's future looks bleak. A report in a local newspaper says that the ratings are extremely low for the new digital channels that started in Canada this year - mainly because there's just too many of them. I don't think BBC Canada will last the full year. It doesn't matter... it was imitation BBC anyway! .

I'm presuming BBC Canada didn't run any news, given that you all have World available to you (*&$%grumble-grumble@#$%). How was the remainder of their programming mix? Here in the States, BBC America seems to be running theme blocks in order to gather different types of viewers at different points of the day. The other question I've got is whether or not BBC Canada has a lot of commercials. We're stuck with the latest music collection from K-Tel or whoever is doing them these days, not to mention 'Miss Cleo' and her psychic hotline, especially in the overnight commercial slots, but thankfully, BBC America isn't laced with infomercials in the overnights like many of the other cable/satellite channels here.

As you will find when you get it, there is a right load of nonsense in the upper 600s.

All the shopping channels, and there's a new one called Simply Music, which I have actually been watching, a channel where u can buy music. All these shopping channels owe QVC one, QVC was the first english shopping channel!
Al-Jazeera is available (unless I am mistaken) on channel 674. It was quite interesting to watch during the World Trade Center coverage, and even now it is strange to see the other side's point of view so to speak.
