The only bad thing about the return of Dr Who is the number of journalists who think they're hilarious making gags about

a) Hiding behind the sofa
b) Daleks not being able to go upstairs (which they can)

And 'wobbly sets' - I can't remember a single occasion where the sets actually did wobble!

Weird actually, but that's true for me as well. I can only remember the centre console wobbling when it went up and down with the strip lights juddering from side to side in a very "BBC Props department" way.

I think it would be perhaps a bit bold to say there was NO wobbling over the years but it certainly isn't as frequent as the cliche mongers would have you believe!

Model shots were often quite wobbly.

Oh yes, who can remember the classic model shot of the TARDIS in space. It was literally some prop guy dangling a CORGI model on a bit of string by the look of it. They didn't even bother filming it faster than 24fps, so it looked absolutely bloody silly!

Yes thankfully those days are over one would hope!

Still there were some triumphs, the Ark In Space paticularly has very good model shots (they're only a bit wobbly!) and superb sets, especially the Cryogenic chamber. There's a really fantastic sense of space.

Shame about the green spray-painted bubble-wrap.

I think Dr Who will win by miles, and rightly so. Saturday Night Takeaway wont be able to compete. The new series of Dr Who looks great.

They need to move Ant and Dec night takeaway time so it doesn't clash with the Dr Who which I be watching.

Even though I didn't watch the original Doctor Who I will definately be watching tonight. It looks really good especially tonight's episode with the mannequins and I also think it will beat Ant and Dec.
