Does anyone know when BBC Weather is due for its revamp?

I know it's due "early 2005", but a more accurate date I don't have.

3D flyover maps. They'll show the weather as it "really looks", and hopefully that doesn't mean like Sky's "real" weather.

they say that they'll be able to walk down the british isles, and the clouds will appear above them. but how will they be able to show isobars?
or is this bbc dumbing down so much that we cant even see the pressure systems anymore

It should be interesting.

But won't this work in a similar way to how RI:SE's worked and how GMTV's currently works, how they fly over the UK under the cloud and through the rain.

But if they can walk the British Isles, it'll take for ever to cover the whole country.

Does this also mean an end to the symbols?

No, they're staying, but they're likely only to be used in the summary etc.

Yeah but the problem with pressure systems is that they dont tell you if it will be sunny or rainy. a load of lines saying low or high means nothing to me.

Yes, I've noticed this. I was a little concerned initially when this site started loading slower on my brand new 1MB Broadband!

It's really not complicated, perhaps you should find out how to read a pressure chart instead of staying in the dark. Or should that be wet?

It's since the Extreme Tracking was added (in the bottom left hand corner of this page).

I had to get rid of it off my site because of all the complaints about slow speed.

Still, the data about all the users is quite interesting.
