Did anyone see the weather following the News on BBC One this evening... just before The National Lottery Draws?

Philip Avery was talking away when he suddenly stopped and look down ... then after a short break started to talk and stopped again... looked to the side and started to speak before stopping again... waited and then continued as though nothing had happened.

I wonder what caused that to happen... technical gremlin or perhaps he was being told to cut his forecast short and then being told to continue?

I think he is a true professional - he continued the forecast without appearing embarrassed or startled.

Nothing to do with Phillip, some techy problems in London - he would only have seen off air in London and thought he'd gone off air - Scotland just stayed on a different feed of the weather studio.

Indeed the screen just went blank. I changed to BBC2, back to BBC1 and Philip was back so I thought it was my TV on the blink!

The sound kept cutting out on Channel 4 tonight as well

The sound has been dipped on Channel 4 during the live launch of Celebrity Big Brother due to strong language after last years trouble.

Usually the live feed dips the sound on E4 or plays some random sound of the Elstree studios.

A few bits of language did get trough though, which I expect Channel 4 will make a huge apology later on.
