This liecence fee thing it's way too high,

I mean I just got NTL Digital my dad got it me. I think a tv liecence should be £70 pound a year something like that..

Anybody agree with me?

How much per year will your dad be paying NTL to receive the package you have chosen?

I think the licence fee is still valid - for now. Apart from anything else, it's great to use bbc.co.uk and not have to see any adverts/pop-ups.

The junction before EastEnders did not contain 4 minutes of trails. It contained approx 1.00 of trails and a 2.30 brand promo for Children In Need.

I apoligise I was 30 seconds light!

THREE MINUTES THIRTY SECONDS is still a long break on a BBC channel.

It's possible the CIN promo was scheduled because EastEnders came in with a shorter than normal duration. The duration of EastEnders can vary from 26 to 31 minutes on a regular basis as storylines can affect editing. It is however normally 28.30-29.00.

On the other hand it could have been deliberatly planned to have the CIN promo there... after all we are in the run up to this year's appeal. Is that such a bad thing? It's not like it happens every junction.

Apart from the cultural arguments which have been done to death the devil is in the detail. The government is hiding the £500 million of digital switchover - thats not the BBC's switch over, thats the whole transmitter and logistical operation for the uk, call centres for the confused - which will be a lot of people I suspect. All this is included in the licence fee bid that way the Beeb gets the blame for a high increase and uncle Gordon hides the fact he'e a bit short at the moment to pay for a freeing up of frequencies which he can then charge more for. The BBC needs £7 million to complete its switch over as being a forward thinking organisation it has quietly got on with digital rollout.
1.8% above inflation to pay for the governments plans not a bad bit of spin

OK, so the entire junction may not have contained trails, but this is still rather a lot. Could the annos not have signposted programmes either side of the CIN promo?

I love the way that not only do you get your facts wrong, you simply brush the detail aside and suggest that you are still right.

No Lee Penfold. No one is likely to agree with a child who probably spends his income on Pez or penny mixtures.
