They haven't shared studios since leaving TVC. Children in Need has been at the BBC Elstree studios for the last 3 years while Strictly has been on the George Lucas stage at the Elstree studios
Did they share studios at TVC? It always looked like Strictly was in a smaller studio on CiN week.
You just have to ask if the people who make these decisions will ever learn from the previous disastrous mistakes. There is nothing wrong with Llandaff that a bit of reorganisation and maintenance would put right and this is far cheaper than spending shed loads of money on a glorified shop in the middle of Cardiff.
The current managements obsession on spending huge amounts of money on renting relocating to expensive rented accommodation should be examined - preferably by a qualified physiotherapist who will prescribe treatment for this edifice complex.
Tart the present studios up and spend the money on making programmes.

I think initially it used TC4 or TC8 when it was kicked out of TC1.
Did the same happen to Noel's House Party when it was in TC1?
Strictly went to TC4 (just about - even with the wide angle lenses, it looked right on the firelane markings)
Noels House Party was either in TC1 or TC3 - according to Will Wyatt's very readable book.
What does the SD/5D in the middle of the Doctor Who logo (middle picture) signify?
The bit in the middle is actually '50'. The images were first released back in 2013 I think, when Doctor Who was celebrating 50 years.
However it's a mock up of what's expected to open in 2019. Perhaps it's fallen out of a Tardis ?
Maybe they Googled and accidentally used the anniversary logo instead of the default one? But they probably would have been better off using the 1970 logo there. No Doctor Who logo has ever stayed in use on the show itself longer than seven years. If it doesn't change for series 10 (which if it doesn't air until 2017, will mean that the current logo will have outlasted the diamond and neon ones), it surely will when Peter Capaldi's Doctor regenerates. And since a lot of the merchandise, including the pre-2013 DVDs and the Titan comic books, use the 1970 logo, that's highly likely to be what they change it to.
Is it just me? Surely it's obvious they used that logo to illustrate that they could use the internal walls to promote current programmes with temporary vinyl (as they do in other centres for things such as Children In Need)
I don't think there's a Doctor Who production office planned for the site so it's not intended to signify that.
Yep - Strictly certainly came from TC4 at least once when TC1 wasn't available.
Yes, up until 2009, but then the current set, which was introduced in 2010, was too big for any studio but TC1 so from that year they took the opportunity to do an OB in Children in Need week instead. They don't need to do it now they're in different studios but they still go to Blackpool to add a bit of interest and excitement to the middle of the series.
We've mentioned House Party here before - it wasn't in TC1 until the last few series, although I think it was established that one year it moved to another studio and they did loads more stuff on location, and another year they did the disastrous show from Universal Studios.
