BBC TWO Special Idents

...and whilst I welcome it, it's surprising, when you consider the fact that NI did use the promotional text (the same as Network did) with their version of Meet the Super-Rich ident.

NI showed the India Season sting at 10:00pm last night, where it was immediately followed by the India Season ident. I assume this was a playout error(?). Playing them both in succession like that did have a slightly jarring effect with the visuals, as the background scene at the end of the sting and the beginning of the ident does not quite match.

Ugh. That's the BBC NI CA I cannot stand. His voice grates on my ears, I have to mute the TV when I hear him.

Anyway, it's interesting how they have moved the BBC TWO box over the 4:3 safe zone finally, and for the regions that have the promotional text, it too is out of the 4:3 safe zone. About time they stopped squeezing everything in to the centre and made more use of the space available. No more pandering to the 4:3 clingers-on!

It was a surprise last night but Scotland did use said ident again, ( mainly because it was going into a network show) )
