As I see it, the seven 2's are going to be like the Spice Girls, each with a different style and personality. eg Sporty 2, Posh 2, Ginger 2......

Well if this thing about the original 2's being axed is true the new ones whatever they are will be a complete nightmare and they will no doubt put me off watching BBC TWO, sometimes I onlt tune in to see which ident it is, over the next few days I am making sure I have every current ident in place and will keep a lookout to see if the BBC decide to bring back some older ones before the lot are discontinued. The axe of them is inevitable but the new ones will not go down very well with a lot ppl, just as most of u guys have expressed on this thread!

I don't think they look too bad but some of the current ones are getting a bit dated

mdta - i don't suppose you have jpg/gif images of your designs (the ones on identz) cos I would love that BBC World one on my desktop as the wallpaper.

Bit drastic isn't it? As much as I'll be disappointed not to see the Duck 2 generally popping up at 6pm on a Friday, it's not going to stop me watching The Simpsons.

I guess contacting the Beeb officially and asking them to bring some oldies back wouldn't work. I'll get a reply like 'new idents? who said anything about new idents??' but it would be nice to see a few brought back. Depends if anyone at Broadcast & Presentation thinks of doing it.
