Your correct but then it became just the red colour as it didn't look good in the daily star

When Choice and Knowledge are relaunched as 3 and 4, i would expect they will still have a dog. but this will look a bit odd next to 1 and 2 which dont have a dog. so perhaps when 1 & 2 relaunch, they cud have dogs aswell!

They tried DOGs on digital BBC1 and BBC2 when it first launched in 1998 - and got so many complaints they removed them within two months! So I don't think they'll try that again.

Why would people complain? Because they expect something a little better from the BBC. 'The hand that feeds...' and all that attitude and I can't blame them. Why should (what is seen to be inferior) analogue BBC be bug free when digital viewers (the Beeb want the uptake to be as much as possible) get the added annoyance of a DOG?
And slightly related - did anyone catch that very cheeky ITV1 trailer shown last night for On the Ball? It had some old woman sat on a sofa gabbing on about football and the voiceover came on and said something like 'Why watch Auntie only talk about the Premiership when you can watch it yourself on ITV1?!' A very obvious dig at the BBC.

The dog was itv|2| but the ident on the endboard was

Yes, the ITV2 DOG is the same as normal but some on screen promotions - mostly seen on ITV1 mind - have the itvl2 logo. On the promotions (the ones seen on ITV1) have the itv.com/itv2 address! ITV2 has on its schedule screen (9.25-1.45) the itv.co.uk/itv2 address and it's still on the idents and most ads for their programmes!
Why can't they just make their mind up and get the new logo/DOG and on screen URL up and running!!!

Remember ITV are getting a new look accross the board in the new year, they are probably waiting till then.
I never capture anythign in widescren for 2 reasons
1. I dont have/want a widescreen set
2. My Tv card doesnt do 16:9 captures anyway.

If the beeb do put the BBC TWO logo in the bottom right hand corner then where will the region name go?? It's not so much of a problem for english regions but what about the Nations who have their own continuity.
