Wo!! Hang on!

Am I right to assume that purple box with the logo is part of the ident? If so, does it remind you of BBC 2W? Bearing this in mind, am I right to assume the introduction of 2W-style branding across the network?

Does this imply the introduction of menus overlaid on idents, and Channel 4-style encaps featured on 2W (i.e. colour strip down the right side).

Or am I barking up the wrong tree...

No doubt Asa and his crew will be capping like mad come week monday Wink
Certainly will! I'm already renaming the pages from 'Latest' to 'Final Batch' Sad

I'll be there from 6am on next Monday morning, or rather, my VCR will. Now there's dedication and there's dedication...!

Anyone hedging bets on which ident will be the very last one seen? [Of course, this will be at the end of the montage of 2's shown on the Sunday Very Happy ] I'll guess 'Paint' -  finish as you started!

Cheers, Asa
About to long play record BBC Two over the coming week...

Unfortunately according to BBC What's On, closedown next Sunday is at 2.55am, leaving just five minutes before the Learning Zone starts.  So if things overrun even slightly, there may not be a final closedown... Sad

I've just noticed that dodgy new logo in the bottom right of the screen. I hope this is not extended to BBC ONE - can you imagine the balloons looking like this?...

I don't want the twos to go.

Also have you noticed that Points Of View ended this week. Methinks they know what will happen when they change them.

If they really are crap we should all e-mail and complain, I think if enough people moan they'll bring back the normal ones.

They may even have a compilation of different '2' idents to finish the era off.

I hope they do a thing at the end of the Two's. It would be a shame not to.

Hah! Maybe we're being a bit biased because the 'average person' probably couldn't care less at 1.55am (or better still, over the whole weekend's closedown) but I'm sure it's not really that hard to just loop a few? Smile

And Peter, I can't really see them paying £30,000 a ident for a few people to complain to get them to change back - just look at the public opinion of the balloons back in '97!

I suppose, be nice though.

You never know, they might be nice. Just so long as that
