BBC Two Predator ident

Remember that? Re-versioned, er, version, used into the Chelsea Flower Show just now.

It's the old predator ident

Yes, but with the purple box.

There was me, thinking if they'd use an ident, it would at least be Garden, but expected nothing! Never occured to me they'd use Predator!

Well they could hardly use the old 'BBC TWO' logo as well. What do you want... blood

Did anyone know about this? At least some people knew beforehand about the Winter Olympics change, but no-one even hinted at another ident returning from the past for this event.

There's a couple of hi-res shots of this ident over at the PP I think, very nice ident indeed.

So, we've had an old ident revived for the Olympics, and now one for Chelsea Flower Show.... I can't think of one they could use for the next big event (Wimbledon) though!

Just tuned in purely for the junction and surprised to see Predator come back out. A nice touch and as long as it isn't overused in every junction should add something to the somewhat bland presentation. Shame there is no soundtrack though.

There *was* a soundtrack on the Network junction that I watched.

I was on BBC TWO Scotland, but they went to the Network for the junction (as they often seem to do), and there's definitely still a soundtrack to it.

It does start out rather quiet, but that's deliberate; there's a crescendo that builds, with the climax timed with the appearance of the fly trap '2', after which it all goes quiet again.

Unlike the Winter Olympics version of the Xmas '00 ident, the audio for Predator has (luckily) been untouched and is the original.

That ident looks 200% better than the current lot. Hopefully this supposed rebrand comes up with a wider range rather than the current few.
