Does anyone in the know when the rubbish noise reduction thing they are doing on SD material is going to sort itself out? Half the shows look like they are NTSC conversions. Captions and edges are all jagged like half the fields are missing.

I first noticed it going on during the TOTP and Supernatural repeats on BBC4 last autumn and the BBC assured me nothing was happening to the playout of SD material when I asked them. Can't just be me who's noticed!

If you thought BBC Two Alba was phased out when the Windows idents idents were modified by 2009, then think again....

Try 7.30pm tonight before Eorpa on 2 Scotland - it's a possibility.

BBC TWO Alba idents are always used before Gaelic-language programmes, such as Eorpa . However, I think they only use Paint Pot.

I thought all the programmes had been dropped in 2012.

I assumed they were all on BBC Alba now.

So the Q: Why are BBC 2 Scotland still showing Eòrpa, unless since its move to BBC Alba has resulted in poor ratings? OR its the only current affiars programme dealing with EU....

I hadn't noticed on TOTP repeats before, but this last episode looks awful, deinterlaced and all soft. I came here to find out if anybody else had noticed, didn't have to look far! The previous episode was fine. I'm watching in SD too, no need for anything to be done to any SD material. I might as well be watching it on YouTube.
