"Episode Two Station Closing" 25 October 1981
The local railway station is to be closed, so Audrey launches a campaign to save it. Richard, however, secretly buys it and plans to turn it into a cash and carry. Then British Rail decide to keep the station open after all to service a new school, but Richard soon finds a new site. Guest starring Richard Thorp, Bruce Bould and William Moore.

Anything wrong with that?

Let's just say a certain DJ was on a lot of posters for British Rail at the time...

Yep, Blake that's the only reason I can think of. I read the programme synopsis earlier, and noticed you've got in first.

Actually, there may be a lot more obvious than a poster in the background. 1981, and Saville was the face of British Rail in the tv adverts with image reboot 'age of the train' slogan about that time.

Proabably there's a line or two with the age of the train line and then mentioning him by name, which then gets a laugh 'bleed' over the start of the next delivered line, making attempts to remove all references to SJS all but impossible, without a very noticable edit.

It's not him being mentioned but posters with him shown onscreen:

That's an over reaction, but of course if they broadcast it they'd be an over reaction too.

It could easily have been pixelated/fuzzed out, no worse or more difficult to achieve than car number plates
on news footage, or alternatively give it to ITV 3 to show, and they'd just obliterate the scene with one of their ham-fisted insensitively inserted ad breaks

By the way, right click on a You Tube clip at the point you wish to link, and it'll give you the option to copy a link to start at that point

I thought they could have blurred it out as well and thanks for the Youtube tip.

slightly off topic - that new British Rail prog on BBC4 the other night must have been the first rail documentary that didn't mention "the age of the train" campaign, which is quite an omission when talking about BR in the 80's

Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, taken over the Open all hours slots from Next Thursday.

Im still hopeful for Y'rang me lord, No Place Like Home, Next Of Kin, or Birds of a Feather

Why don't there move Cagney and Lacey to 14.45 and included it in the Afternoon classis?

What I would like to see is some REAL gems, Like come back mrs noah, The goodies a full run, and or even more rare stuff.

Birds Of A Feather is also shown on Drama. As for Come Back Mrs Noah, it flopped. They've probably binned the copies or recorded over them.

Nope. Aired after they stopped wiping stuff, so it's still in the archive somewhere.

As for rarities I'd quite like to see You Must Be The Husband.
