Interestingly, today's BBC2 NI Afternoon Classics menu slide has included Vintage Antiques Roadshow at 5:15pm. Are BBC2 NI now including this programme as part of the AC slot? I would assume so, going by the menu slide.

Edit: Steam shown on NI, before Vintage Antiques Roadshow, so, hopefully, this programme is now considered part of Afternoon Classics on BBC2 NI, and if so, one more junction for the showing of a retro ident than I thought. This would be very welcome, considering the changes to the scheduling during AC, next week, which benriggers has spoken about.

part of one of my posts, yesterday:
...I'm told that, as and when they have time, more from the 1991-2001 era will continue to be shown during AC...

I was watching my recording of Are you Being Servered Series 10, Episode 2 ("Grounds for Divorce") this morning (I am a little behind) and I was surprised to see a caption at the end that read 'In memory of Frank Thornton 1921 - 2013'. Not because it was erroneous, the dates are correct, just that it seems an odd thing to include in a 2014 repeat. It turns out that this episode was last shown 13 April 2013, a month after he died so I assume the caption was made for that showing. Someone must have edited it on to the actual episode itself. Is that the normal thing to do? I thought presentation would have played out any caption like that.

Seeing Himalaya with Michael Palin repeated on BBC2 today has me wondering (because I originally thought it was one of the older of his series) - is there a source of information somewhere that can tell us whether something shown on BBC2 HD (or BBC1 HD, for that matter) actually originated in HD? My EPG labels Himalaya with "[HD]" - it was filmed in 2004, so that's not surprising, but then it also says 'Allo 'Allo is "[HD]", which is obviously just an upscale.

Sometimes I can't be sure whether what I'm watching originally was in HD...

What about 'War and Peace' ident for Network feed as well as Scotland and Wales feed to avoid the NI feed,
NOTE: It might only used for old WWI documentries (for example: The Great War from 1964).
