I understand Afternoon Classsics is returning on 24th February. I do hope they show more BBC2 1991-2001 era idents during this second season.

More of the same, I think, including Are you Being Served and Allo' Allo', but I hear Bergerac is to be shown.
I wish they would show Shoestring instead (of which Bergerac was a spin-off). I much preferred it, and it is so rarely shown.

As a fan of the BBC2 1991-2001 ident era, I sent the BBC a request that they kindly show more idents from this era during the forthcoming second season of Afternoon Classics programming. The reply I received today seemed encouraging, and I get the impression that they feel it is a good suggestion and one which, one would hope, they will give consideration to, but I wonder if other fans of this era might kindly send them a similar request, thereby increasing the likelihood of this happening.

Please post the response here so we may judge how generic it is.
"Dear Mr Page
Thank you for contacting us regarding the choice of BBC idents for the 'Afternoon Classics' section of our BBC Two schedule.
We understand you appreciate the iconic idents used during earlier years and feel this segment of our broadcasting would provide an excellent opportunity to breath new life into them again.
We do respond to viewer suggestions if we feel they would complement our own plans and approach. We really appreciate your suggestion and can see how it would signal that particular theme really well. We are glad that you are so fond and informed about our earlier work on BBC Two ident production, we have made your thoughts available to those concerned in the production and editing of continuity and trails.
Viewer feedback such as yours is often helpful in guiding our programmes and services. We’d like to assure you that your comments have also been registered on our daily audience log. This is the internal report of audience feedback that is compiled each day and made available to staff across the BBC, including our schedulers, senior Executives and channel controllers.
These audience logs are important documents that can help shape decisions about future approaches to programming and channel content.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to contact us.
Kind Regards
Laurence Murray"
