Just to go back to the Laser disk talk, Does this mean between 1991-1997 the network could have sent up ident on a clean feed and Glasgow would just add its own Laser disk name?

There's no technical reason why they couldn't... but no logical reason why they would want to.

With Christmas idents having now launched on BBC Two, be on the look out tomorrow. This week is still normal schedules, and that includes the Afternoon Classics.

Classic-style rotating snowflake Xmas symbol before Cagney & Lacey on BBC 2 NI. Think 1979.

Its a shame BBC NI don't control presentation over the whole of the BBC network! It would be brilliant!
Des Cartes and Steve in Pudsey gave kudos

It's been stretched on the sides to accommodate widescreen, nice touch Smile

OK, that goes down with the regular ident before the news on BBC One. What the hell, BBC?

Hopefully BBC2 NI take the opportunity to give the 1991 Christmas ident another outing.

Great efforts by BBC Northern Ireland as usual. I wasn't actually expecting network to do anything, so I'm not too disappointed on that front.
