BBC Two old idents props

Well thanks to Liquid News lastnight and of course Asa ( ) on BBC Choice, we now have a preview of the nice new idents that will be launched on BBC Two on Monday the 19th.

Programmes from the past that have discussed the BBC Two presentation have sometimes featured some of the ident props in the background, switched off and/or not in use.

Now the BBC won't be using those props used to create the idents anymore (like 'Neon', 'Kebab' and 'Woodpecker' ). My question is, what will they do with them?

Auction them perhaps?

I made a wooden '2' in woodwork about 2 years ago. I copied it from the BBC 2 breakbumper where the loudspeaker blows the '2' out of shot.

I could glue some fluff onto it and sell it

They will probabally keep the props! The BBC still have a 5ft scale model of Big Ben they used to use for time checks pre- WWII!

When I saw the party whistle/hooter, call it what you will, in the shape of a 2 at Christmas 1991 I wanted it.  

I almost wrote in to ask if they'd send it to me.  I never got around to it.

I remember on the episode of Operation Good Guys when they were abroad one of the coppers had a BBC 2 shirt on with the car ident
