Erm... very disappointed. The new idents seem a bit bland to me. The new shape of the "2" looks like someone has drawn a new template by hand and it didn't quite come out right; the appearance of the "2" in 'real-life' scenes is the same idea as Channel 4 (who pull it off better); the new box is just plain awkward.
I'm not sure i like the music that is used with them athough Mirror is nice and mellow for serious programming. Also, why the Cyan box? I thought they were getting rid of boxes, makes no sense.
please could someone capture these streams and upload them as proper videos for those less fortunate than ourselves, stuck behind crippling dial-up connections or unable to use RealPlayer (which is IMO a blessing...)

Not seen them onscreen of course yet so this is an opinion based on the videos but I can't say I'm too impressed. The more I think about it, the more the 2 is just a hollow outline for whatever happens to be going on in the background. It's not a hero, has no personality, nothing is done to it.
The music is as subtle as I hoped it wouldn't be. Mirror's visuals look nice but the audio is poor. Sunroof to me is awful - a shaky 2 on a grey background? No thanks. Seascape is quite nice but again, the audio is rubbish. The fact it takes an age before the 'main' thing happens and the box appears is a disadvantage - we're just going to get the problem BBC One has of the logo often appearing milliseconds before the programme starts.
I expected better, BBC Two!
