BBC Two: new idents from Sunday 18 February

Ah. I was wondering the last couple of weeks about it but take it you mean the happychappy post.

Impressed but didn't recall seeing it in the press release so where did he say that. I thought the fish ran away from the 2 rather than actually forming.

perhaps merrymedia.co.uk should be put into the swear filter - at least it would deter if not eliminate those morons from "over there" who insist on spamming the forum

Just having a laugh on it just now. I have never seen edward stourton without spectacles and is so obvious he cannot see without them and has lines around his eyes. I have to say it is quite well done but apart from the newsreaders and others favourites everything else has already been put online with bbc/tvroom/tvark and so on.

the music for the idents are awful.
but the idents are great.

On that wallpaper I can't believe they left off the orange 2 from 1979. Wasn't that the first computer generated ident in this country?

I can see an opportunity for there to be multiple variations on the Zoetrope ident, eg using different examples of film genres prior to zooming out.

Well, I suppose, but on the others I'd like to see the pace upped a little.

I think the polar landscape variant looks better than the music festival variant for some reason. Can't say I'm that impressed with them at the moment, they seem more like the stings you got in the 90s than idents but then it would always be hard to use a similar concept and top those ones!

EXACTLY!! They look like longer stings from the 90's rather than the idents. But I always thought some of the stings sould have been used as idents.
