Thanks for the link. i wouldnt look into the colour scheme too much, but at least theres no yellow or purple in sight! what i am interested in is the fact there is no logo, except for the '2'. i think it is likely that, when TWO relaunches, there logo could be this (as posted earlier in this thread):

Surely there's got to be a logo? In this "multi-channel" world, it is important that a channel stands out, and a logo does that.
Does this mean that there will be no BBC logo either? If this is true I think they're doing the wrong thing entirely!
PS. I can't seem to find the part about the idents in the Press Pack.

I think you have misread what i posted. in the press-pack there is no logo just part of a '2' overlapping the text.
when it relaunches it would have a logo:

This would appear during trails and maybe just the BBC logo below the '2' during the idents. the BBC logo would still be there. they did it between 91-97 albeit there wernt multi-channels then but BBC2 still stood out then and still would now. please remember this is purely speculation.

We are simply speculating on what the new look could be like going on the overall design of the pack.
In this case, we have no logo, but a number of large, only partially-shown coloured 2's in 2D, rotated at various angles, forming part of the 'frame' around which images are placed.
All the following is pure speculation; I'm not sure where this would fit in were it to actually be included as part of the new look. I know as far as trails or slides go, BBC2 seems to have stayed very simple and clear, and not gone for anything too arty; if however they were to be updated with this, at worst it would look messy, but could work if done right.

My speculation on why there is no logo, is perhaps they didnt want to reveal it yet, but it is coming within the Winter time frame.
This is just speculation, the PressPack for the Autumn on BBC One used the old logo, and even some Bus Adverts for Robin Hood used the old logo.
I just thought I would fuel the speculation train, and get people thinking.

It's the same old ident-wise for Xmas this year, although a menu has been added to match the others in the trail aston style. The vertical line pointers have been changed from purple to the gold-yellow colour, and the gold writing on the logo also appears at the start.

On NI, it appears the BBC TWO logo on the menus and idents is now lit up in gold throughout the entire sequence, as opposed to the handwriting on the menus, and no gold logo at all on the Network Idents.
It looks as if a still was taken from the middle of the gold handwriting animation, and used for the main logo.
I'm pretty sure it wasn't like that last year and it was the same as the Network, previously.
