I guess it will have a new logo like BBC ONE.
It will probably look like this.

I suncerely hope so. IMO the logos on both channels should always be similar. Like the red and blue boxes for BBC1 and 2 respectively and the 1 and 2 logos above the old BBC logo.

It didn't stop SMG changing Scottish and Grampian back to STV.
This is true; just in the case of BBC2 I don't really see it happening, and that it will stick with a 'TWO' or 'two' on logos, especially now BBC1 is still a 'one' to fit with the ident concept.
To differ on logos there would bring greater inconsistency, and probably leave the channels like they were pre-1990's, where each is entirely unique, except for nowadays the corporate logo.

They don't make 'em like that any more.
Dead simple, and on-screen it was strong -- I'm sure part of that was down to the stings & matching endboards brought in.
If you'd had the smoky globe alone without the extra bits of pres to accompany it, it would have become stale that much quicker.

What will the future of BBC Logos look like?

A chart to keep track of and compare the logos, nice.
I take it you'll fill in the question marks as and when each new logo is revealed?
Observing them all in columns like that, my perspective:
1991, the logos really were distinctive and fitting for the BBC, the corporate logo and numeral do work well together;
1997 less so, although it benefits from being tidier and very modern;
2001, worse, with the BBC logo downsized a bit too much and the box being not a great idea IMO;
2006 (on BBC One only) I'd say better than the boxed logo, but could be more distinctive - probably the Sky One thing - and seems quite un-BBC, which is a shame.

I'd love to know what you were thinking when you did the BBC NEWS 24 one!

I would prefer something less drastic, such as:

and
http://www.drnilescrane.net/bbc24.jpg
(Though I wish deep down they would keep the 1997 logo style)
