BBC Two Idents

Do any of you think that some of the BBC Two idents, especially the ones with the old BBC logo, are a bit eerie?

The ones that I find eerie are Balloon, Silk, Optic, and I guess the discontinued idents that have the music and the old BBC logo on it...

or I'm not sure...

I found a copy of excalibur yesterday and that's definately eerie

I think Steam has a particularly haunting soundtrack, and so does Silk, with all the wailing sounds on it. Optic gets more eerie the further it goes in; I was interested to see the full version of that one as it gradually settles down into the usual '2' shape. It's a pity we don't normally get a chance to see very much of it.

i think water has the strangest music at the end.

why do the old idents simply vanish but the music keep playing
