this morning i caught the last 5 minutes of ceefax on bbc2 and it was playing a beeping sound as well as the music the beeping sound was the sound usually used when testcards are being used.does it always have this anoying beeping sound or was it a one off?

I watched the last 5mins of Ceefax this morning and didn't notice any beeping. Out of interest what is this obsession that has become apparent of using Fish Long to introduce Ceefax? I might add that we are yet to see Bounce Sombre, both Long and Short, Bounce Long (and Short if you discount the Ceefax when the clocks went back) and Drum Short.

You're assuming there is some sort of system for which symbol is used. There isn't!

Do you watch Pages From Ceefax every day? You seem to make posts about it often. Talking about TV must be a riot in your house......

Can't be as bad as talking about how much you want SMTV to come back though! Laughing
