BBC Two Ident

I saw the fibre optic ident last night at 10. I thought this had been discontinued. Anyone know?

Today just before TWL they showed the gorilla one - where the baby knocks over a plastic two - nothing to do with TWL really!

A lot of the original boring idents from BBC TWO, have been killed off.

Newer, more funky ones have been brought in to replace these ones, although the old 1991 ones come up more often than the newer ones such as the two 'Gorillia' idents!

BTW the last one is made up

I would have thought the Beeb would have discontinued Millennium Dome - especially seeing as the dome itself closed to visitors last December!!
2000 Today wasn't even introduced with this ident, the logic behind that I can't understand. It was however used once during the day, but they used 2000 Today music instead of it's own! I'm very bad at describing things! Click here to see what I'm dithering on about!

Special ident surely? I haven't seen it since Euro 2000.



They were originally introduced for the Animal Zone on Sundays, and are used occasionally as general idents, but, yes, are very hard to spot!



Not sure about these ones, haven't seen them for a while. Probably discontinued.



This was only brought back for the Chelsea Flower Show for a week in May.

Gorilla Tantrum turns up now and again. Maybe twice a week? I assume by 'Flowers' you mean the Garden ident - that has been brought back, in widescreen, but is only used before coverage of the RHS Flower Shows (Chelsea, Tatton Park, etc), and not (that I can remember anyhow) before general, or even other gardening programmes.

The BBC1 idents you mention are out of the general rotation, though they might make a rare appearence late at night.

Optic has been in continuous service since it was introduced. It's still used quite frequently.

You seen to be in the know Jen, are you the BBC's Head of Ident patrol, or an underpaid announcer?

If it's gone,thank goodness I recorded it just before Robot Wars! Also,kebab 1,2,and 3? I'm still on the lookout for Kebab 3.

I think I saw the Kebab ident last month some time.
