The only true Christmas ident is the one where the 2 produces a fairy which creates a Christmas Tree, of some sort.
Snowman was used during snowfall (so its appearance outside of Xmas is extremely unlikely), and now, Ice Cube has been used for Summer.
And yes, it is odd how it shows up just after being mentioned on here...maybe someone from the Beeb is lurking...
I caught the closedown yesterday...20 seconds ain't bad, but I don't expect longer plays unless someone like Lydiate is on the mic.
