Well, the 20 second cuts of the full versions - ie the full form-up, just not the extra 15-20 seconds holding you could have had. Now that would have been luxury Wink

Yes, that's what I was thinking... The montages rarely show a full version, unless the last (or first) ident is accompanied by a lengthy continuity anno...

Just hope the BBC keep them up on You Tube, still there at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12LUjZY_HZQ - all in full HD.

Not to mention the new music - Zoetrope with a minimal, ambient soundtrack, and something a little more upbeat for Tent Arctic...

Yes... yes... because that was the problem... the ident music. The admittedly fairly bland, but ultimately well-matched ident music. Let's assess the extent of what they've done so far then:

WOW, that YouTube audio replacement tool is seriously good. They've outdone themselves. And look how sharp the COTY tags are! Sensational.

I imagine a lot of the music may sound less well matched, simply because these particular ones have omitted the sound effects to match the scenes - such as the tent being unzipped.

I agree, would be nice for network to retire the Channel Of The Year text sooner rather than later...

Ouch - the new Seascape music really doesn't work or compare the original, IMHO.

A real shame to have lost what was arguably BBC 2's best ident soundtrack of the set.

I don't want to know what they've done to Mirror.

After spending ages searching through a recording of the test card special I am yet to see these refurnished idents on TV but seeing them on here made me realize that I'm not a fan of them. They have lazily forgotten about additional sound effects like hovercars zooming and tents zipping not to mention made some of the soundtracks worse. This is all IMO. Mad

Indeed, that was my other concern too - that the sombre tone / use may be lost, much like what happened with the BBC One Helicopter. But we'll see.
